We are working on programs to facilitate the adoption of sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices from farm to table. With the help of financial partners, we believe this to be a critical part of a sustainable long-term solution.
WHY WE need we THRIVE
As we face a crisis in planetary and human health, we are in dire need of new systems that are in alignment with nature; which means recognizing that we are not in fact separate from the natural world, but rather play an essential role in the greater ecosystem. We are stewards of the environment, and whether we know it or not, actively participate (at least 2-3 times) daily in the food system. By supporting local regenerative farming, we not only improve our own health but also our planet’s. We can address the climate crisis directly through food systems. By practicing regenerative agriculture, we provide resiliency against intensifying climate conditions by working with nature, instead of against it. We believe in a future of food that not only protects the planet, but also our right to real food. By buying directly from local producers, we strengthen food security and transparency over what we consume. Buying local breathes life back into communities, allowing for us to know our farmers and where our food comes from. We will not survive in isolation, so we must build community in order to thrive.
